Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 To save electricity most of our lights are working with solar power or we are using paraffin lights. Only in cases of need are we running a generator.
Waste management is a great priority. The waste is all taken out of The National Park and brought to a recycling company. All waste that can be composted is brought to a farm to enrich the soil. We also support local farmers, and buy their produce for the lodge.
Except for the manager all our staff is from the local community. They are properly trained and any training that cannot be done in the lodge, such as driving lessons and licenss, is paid for.
All materials and furnishings used in the lodge are handmade by local people who directly benefit from the lodge.
