Mayukuyuku Camp
Sustainability
Patrick Moyo, the Managing Director and guide of the camp along with Boyd Muchebo the Assistant Manager and guide are your hosts at Mayukuyuku Camp.
Patrick was originally working in ZAWA for many years as a Wildlife Officer and then came to Kafue Camps & Safaris as a director and head guide when the business first started in 2006. Patrick is passionate about wildlife and conservation and takes great pride in showing his guests everything down to the tiniest creature. His walks are extremely popular with guests and he tells great stories around the campfire.
Boyd was originally a barman at Lufupa Camp but had such good spotting ability on the boat trips while serving drinks that he was encouraged to train as a guide. He also joined the team at Mayukuyuku at the company's conception in May 2006 and is now Assistant Manager and guide. Boyd's guiding and spotting abilities are excellent and he also has a whole repetoire of bird and animal impersonations he can share with you. His story telling about life in the bush will keep you entertained for hours!
The team at Mayukuyuku Camp adore the Kafue National Park and feel it is still being discovered. Each month the team finds a new aspect to it that they were not aware of previously- maybe a new mammal, tree, rock formation, historical facts, bird or flower.
The park is so vast that the team feels they still have many more years of exploration to come and all guests are invited to be part of this exploration.
