Duration:
7 day(s) - Location:
Kafue National Park
This lodge/luxury camp safari covers a great section of the middle and north of Kafue National Park as far as the Busanga Plains. Included are all your game activites, accommodation in lodge and camp, meals and return charter flights - Livingstone - Kafue National Park.
Itinerary
A 1 hour 45 minute charter flight takes you from Livingstone to Lufupa, north Kafue. Your guide from Mukambi Safaris will be waiting for you and you are on your way for the first 4 nights at Mukambi Lodge where you will be accommodated in an en-suite chalet. The drive to Mukambi Lodge is through the park and this is your first game drive. Depending on how much game you will come across it will take approx 2 hours to arrive just in time for lunch.
During your stay at Mukambi you participate in:
Game drives, usually leaving at the crack of dawn and returning at approx 10 am - or in the afternoon leaving around 4 and returning after dark to give you the opportunity to get to know the nocturnal game.
Walks leave around 6:30am to avoid the heat of the day. The walks are approximately 3 hours.
Fishing trips by boat take place any time of the day and are approximately 2.5 hours. All equipped and bait included.
Boat cruises / sunset cruises take place anytime of the day but there is a scheduled 4pm sunset cruise each evening.
